Day 1 - Arrival in Khonsa & Heritage Homestay
Arrive in Khonsa and take a short drive to the ancient Nocte stronghold of Kheti Village (or Borduria Village). Check into your indigenous homestay. Experience Phamlamja, the day of preparation where local households prepare the sacred rice beer in anticipation of the festivities.
Day 2 - The Chalo Dance in the Village Square
The peak of the festival. Feel the ground shake in the village square as the community gathers to beat the massive wooden log drums. Watch the warriors and women perform the high-energy Chalo dance in their striking traditional attire and feather armbands.
Day 3 - Khonsa Farewell & Departure
Enjoy a final, peaceful morning walking through the village, interacting with the local artisans, and absorbing the calm after the celebrations before checking out and departing via Khonsa.
